Within the framework of social responsibility the company performed functions of the state financing development and maintenance of social infrastructure including housing, kindergartens and subjects of social cultural objects. The enterprise makes considerable investments into the city’s infrastructure development including reparation of ways, settlement gasification, renders sponsorship to schools and hospitals of the city.
The company keeps a branched social infrastructure. The company workers and their families have at their disposal three Palaces of Culture, “Ilyichevets” sport club, “Lukomorye” tourist club, a health resort complex on the Azov seashore including comfortable holiday hotels, “Chaika” sanatorium-dispensary and holiday camps for the plants’ workers. Children health resort centers of the company many times were recognized as one of the best in the region and the country.
The best sanatorium-and-spa complex on the Southern Coast of the Crimea “Ai-Danil” has been receiving workers of the company and their families for the past several years.
A sailing station with boats and yachts, “Neptun” swimming pool, a fitness training complex, a yacht club, a bike center, a modern amusement center “Extreme-Park” are at the service of the company’s workers and their families.
Sport clubs of the company have prepared a lot of sportsmen of the international level, champions of Europe and Olympic champions. “Ilyichevets” water polo team is a repeated winner of contests in Ukraine and abroad.
“Ilyichevets” stadium and a unique “Ilyichevets” sport ccomplex were built by the company. “Mariupol” airport reconstructed by “Ilyich Iron and Steel Works” is considered to be one of the best in Ukraine according to the level of its technical equipment and comfort.
