Ilyich Iron and Steel Works is a holder of certificates of compliance issued by ten foreign certification societies for metal products from more than 200 steel grades, as well as by national certification societies for different products of the plant. Also, the plant has a certificate for quality management system developed in accordance with the requirements of DSTU ISO 9001.

The scope of existing certificates covers development of technical documentation and production of iron and iron products, cast and rolled slabs, plates, sheets, hot rolled and cold rolled sheet/plate, including galvanized rolled products, band, welded pipes, formed sections, sinter, lime, galvanized metal ware for household application, electrodes and flux-cored wire for modified melts.

Production of shipbuilding steel with normal and higher strength in accordance with requirements of Lloyd's Register (London), American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Germanischer Lloyd (Hamburg), Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (St. Petersburg), Bureau Veritas (France), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), RINA (Italy), IRS (India), Ukrainian Register of Shipbuilding (Ukraine) was approved.

The following production was certified by TUV SUD Industrie Service GmbH (Germany):

  • hot rolled structural sheet and plate in accordance with requirements of  European Norm (EN) and National Standards of Germany (DIN), USA (ASTM), Japan (JIS G), GOST including quality high strength steel grades according to EN 10025-2004;
  • strips for major diameter tube production of gas and petroleum pipelines of boiler steel according to EN 10028-3;
  • cold rolled products according to EN 10130 including galvanized rolled products according to EN 10346;
  • electric-welded water and gas supply pipes with diameter 17 – 114 mm according to EN 10219.

Production of rolled products for pressure vessels in accordance with requirements of Memorandum AD 2000-Merkblatt W 0 and European Directive 97/23/EC.

The right of CE marking was confirmed for delivery of steel products produced in accordance with requirements of EN 10025:2004, EN 10219:2006, EN 10255:2004 to countries of European Community.
