Replacement and repair of worn parts of the steam boiler of the heat and power plant will be completed within 60 days. Metinvest Group will invest UAH 3.6 million to the major overhaul of the boiler.
Inspection of the boiler's steel elements by an expert, repair with partial replacement of the elements of the burner devices, defective shut-off, control and safety valves are planned to be carried out over two months. In addition, the internal surfaces of the boiler will be cleaned of the deposits and a feed pump will be installed.The feed pump replacement will ensure a reliable operation of the water treatment unit of the heat recovery area of the heat and power plant.
"Obtaining an expert opinion on the results of inspection will allow to extend safe operation of the unit. Overhaul with partial replacement of defective assemblies of the steam boiler of the heat and power plant will reduce energy consumption, ensure their controled utilization and saving", - said Taras Shevchenko, General Director of Ilyich Iron and Steel Works of Mariupol.
