In terms of labour safety management in the sphere of health and life protection of the workers an international standard `Rendering first aid` is being brought into service at the PJSC “Ilyich Iron and Steel Works” inside the group of Metinvest.
At the first step of realization of the innovative project instructional seminars on simulation of critical situations demanding acute care to the victims have been organized at the plant. In the capacity of coach-experts specialists from the Ukrainian centre of emergency medical aid and the medicine of catastrophes (Kiev) were present. The qualified training was obtained by 180 paramedical workers and the doctors from the treatment-diagnostic centre of the PJSC «Ilyich Iron and Steel Works». The half of them will take part in the additional training in the capacity of coaches for conducting further seminars on the training of social sanitary instructors among the workers of production subdivisions at the plant. Additional costs were given for the purchasing of necessary equipment for making a special room to train aid-men-volunteers.
Soon two automobiles `ambulance` and a special medical equipment for health units of the plant particularly automatic defibrillators, modern stretchers, pneumatic tires, bags-rucksacks with special instruments for rendering emergency medical aid to the victims with the elements of resuscitation will also be bought.
«The introduction of the international standard ` Rendering first aid` at the PJSC «Ilyich Iron and Steel Works», notes the chief — the main doctor of the treatment-diagnostic centre of the plant Sergei Horuzhiy, will allow quickly and correctly react to different free-lance situations, connected with accidents and injuries of the plant workers, and thus maximally save their lives and health».
