In 2011 PJSC “MMK Ilyich”, an affiliate of Metinvest Group, has placed in a job 416 graduating students, college-leavers and vocational school-leavers.
Interns with higher metallurgical education have been mainly assigned to a job at Basic-oxygen furnace shop (BOF) and rolling shops (Rolling mill 1700 and Cold rolling mill).
70 leavers of Mecanic and metallurgic college of Mariupol have been selected and assigned to a job at Railway shop, as diesel locomotive machinists, assistants engine driver, and responsibles for weight and luggage acceptance and delivery
At energy shops the vacancies of electricians, mechanicians for instrumentation and automation have been filled.
A training system is successfully applied for fast adaptation of interns at the enterprise. An individual plan was developed for each of new employees and skilled specialists from personnel have been appointed to help them. For young metallurgists are created the best conditions for realization of their professional and creative potential. Also, they have possibilities to take an active part in “MMKI” youth initiatives realization.
“Within the framework of social policy realization in regions, where the Company is present, since 2000 at the enterprise is successfully realized a program for youth employment. During this period “MMKI” has employed more than 5 000 graduating students of Mariupol schools, “ Sergey Suhorukov, Head of department for personnel emphasized. ”Today the ranks of our enterprise have been joined with 35 certified engineers, 90 specialists of the middle management, graduated from colleges and more than 280 vocational school-leavers (mainly from Higher metallurgic professional school of Mariupol №99).
