According to the inspection results, PJSC “Ilyich Iron and Steel Works” being an affiliate of Metinvest Group, has been certified by State Sanitary Regulation Committee and Ukrainian Ministry of Public Health, thereby confirming the right to perform the entire scope of sanitary analyses not only at the Works but also at other Metinvest companies.
Nowadays, new safety standards including those concerning health and life protection are being successfully introduced at MMKI. Currently, the certification of workplaces with special conditions is being prepared which will permit to improve a range of measures introduced to insure future safety of working conditions at the Works.
«Due to systematic improvement of the safety management system, the traumatism level has dropped, the quantity of sick-leave days has been reduced by 24% (about 1000 days) in comparison to the same period last year,” – noted Head of the Works’ Sanitary Laboratory Alexander Kurash.
