Metinvest is twice increasing welding electrode production at Chemical Metallurgical Factory of PJSC “Ilyich Iron and Steel Works”

It is scheduled to increase twice production of general purpose welding electrodes at Chemical Metallurgical Factory (CMF) of PJSC “Ilyich Iron and Steel Works” (Donskoe, Volnovahskiy Region), such as ANO-4 (AHO-4), MR-3 (MP-3), UONI (УОНИ)-13/45, UONI (УОНИ)-13/55. It is expected to reach 100 tons of electrodes per month by the end of the year.

In the short run CMF specialists are also going to fully meet the need in welding electrodes of  “Azovstal”. These products deliveries have been commenced to other companies of Metinvest Group as well.

CMF electrode output made only 30-40 t monthly before integration of PJSC “Ilyich Iron and Steel Works” into the Company.

“An electrode station was created in Donskoe ten years ago where they branched out into making electrodes of the so-called “mass grades”. We virtually covered fully the needs of Ilyich. Our capabilities substantially increased with entering Metinvest Group. Since the beginning of the year our outputs have already grown more than two times. And we see that this is not the limit, “ Oleg Polyak, CMF Chief, states. “We have a good chemical laboratory, competent specialists who are able to determine product chemical composition and quality accurately and correctly. I can tell you for sure that certificates for these high quality products contain actual true values.”
